Where is the Bear Park?
On the banks of the Aare below the old town, right by the Nydeggbrücke. From there it's just a few minutes' walk over to the Matte.
What does a visit cost?
The Bear Park is freely accessible. Opening and feeding times change seasonally – check the City of Bern website beforehand.
How much time should you plan for?
Half an hour is enough for the park itself. If you take the Aare path and head over to the Matte, plan on about two hours.
Where can you get a good coffee afterwards?
At our place in the Matte, Gerberngasse 44, just a few minutes' walk away. Open Monday to Saturday from 10 to 18.
What can you do in the Matte?
